A very early Naval Trident Bullion Patch and I have no idea whether or not it is American or foreign. I have had this patch for so long I can't even remember when I bought it!
I've included a photo with a ruler alongside to give an idea of the size. Looking at it, it is definitely a very old patch and the "trident spears" really makes it interesting....maybe an early submarine service patch ? The patch is black, somewhat coarse felt.
I'm hoping some military collector can provide some information on this patch.
